Salah Ammar
Salah Ammar is a Sudanese artist based in Nairobi. He graduated in 1994 from the College of Fine and Applied Arts in Sudan. Salah has a distinct style and is an established artist in Kenya. He had exhibitions in Sudan, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Tabitha WA Thuku was born in Kiambu district, and has been a visual for twenty years. She is a highly spirited woman whose canvasses reveal her feelings. Every piece of work becomes a part of her. She currently has a studio in Nairobi.

Mosses Wanjuki
Mosses Wanjuki studied at Kenyatta University and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and in 2001 with Masters of Arts. His art has been exhibited in Nairobi, Milan, London and the Netherlands. He has also been involved in the production of two animation short films.

Kamal Shah
Kamal Shah graduated from Leeds University with a degree in English Literature and Fine Arts. A postgraduate in textile designs set him to become one of Kenya’s leading textile designers. He decided in the mid 90’s to paint full time. Kamal’s work links Asia and Africa the two continents that influenced him. He has exhibited in Kenya, England, Denmark and India. Kamal won the 2006 award for Best Mixed-Media work organised by Alliance Francaise & Goethe Institute in Nairobi.

Shake Makelele
Shake Makelele was born in Kenya in 1966. His passion of painting took up all his spare time and won him a place at the Creative Arts Centre in Nairobi. There he was able to develop his very own special style. Shake is well known for his Maasai images and his abstract art reflect his vivid color combinations.His work is well received worldwide. His paintings have been exhibited in Germany, Netherlands, Italy, UK, Uganda, India and Tanzania.

Yassir Ali
Yassir Ali studied fine art in Khartoum and has had shows in Sudan and Kenya. He is a member of the small Sudanese artist community that has established itself in Kenya. Yassir’s colors are a mirror of the African and Arabic cultures that form the basis of Sudanese society.

Martin Otieno
Batik artist Martin Otieno learnt the basics in batik art at the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) institute. He has had many solo exhibitions in Nairobi and his work has also featured at group exhibitions in Uganda; the Ministry of Culture, the British Council and at international hotels in Nairobi. The artist earned further credit for illustrating the award winning book- Mcheshi Goes to the Market. Martin is the Chairman for the National Arts Exhibition Committee in Nairobi.

Robert Aswani
Robert Aswani was born in Western Province, Kenya in 1971. He is self-taught artist and was inspired by his surroundings when growing up. He is well known for his market scenes and seascapes. He currently lives in Nairobi where he paints in his studio. He has done many exhibitions both in Kenya and Tanzania. He currently lives in Nairobi where he paints in his studio.
